First Coast Service Options (FCSO) announces important update regarding prior authorization exemption and ADR

If you are in the First Coast Service Options, Inc Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Jurisdiction (Florida, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands) and your hospital outpatient department qualified for a prior authorization exempt status effective January 1, you will need to have at least ten claims submitted and finalized with a date of service (DOS) on or after January 1, through June 30. Per First Coast, providers who do not have a minimum of ten finalized claims with DOS on or after January 1, through June 30, will not participate in the additional documentation request (ADR) process and will be withdrawn from exemption.
